The company began life in the 1990s, which was a time of difficult economic transformations. A group of young people without experience in business decided to establish a company and face the challenges of a free market. They achieved this by using the opportunity to purchase the Poldrob plant in Ciechanów. After five years of operation, in 1996, this Ciechanów-based company was employing 500 people, with the 1000 mark being reached in 2008.

Currently, employment levels for the entire Cedrob Group is over 6300, and several hundred other people are employed at the cooperating farms. The sales also continue to increase. The founders of Cedrob have been pursuing their plans for over 25 years now, ensuring that the company extends its product lines and expands exports of the same.

Since 2016, the Cedrob Group has possessed significant shares in Gobarto S.A., one of the largest Polish suppliers of red meat, which includes 30 companies in the agricultural and food industries. German and Ukrainian companies operate within the Group, so while the Cedrob Group is a leader of the Polish market it is an international potentate as well.
